COMMANDING JEWEL- Back in Business

It was great to see VRC Oaks winner, Commanding Jewel return to her brilliant best at Flemington on Saturday.

A half sister to the Super mare, Atlantic Jewel, both these top line mares are related to the Manhattan Rain – Retract filly that we currently have on offer.

Also trained by Mark Kavanagh, this is a filly with plenty of upside – contact us without delay as she is filling fast.

Promising South Australian trainer, Sam Kavanagh has relocated to Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens where he will prepare a select team of mainly babies.

Sam and wife Kelly had an Open Day yesterday, where current and potential owners saw the lovely array of two year old and older horses the stable will race in coming months.

Pacific Bloodstock was on hand as Sam has been chosen to be our first trainer in Sydney and will prepare a gorgeous Encosta De Lago filly, a full or half sister to Cool Dreamer and Lordship, both city winners.  The filly (pictured below) is bred to stay and also has Japan Cup winner Pilsudski in her pedigree.

She is currently doing an educational stint at the stables before preparing for the Autumn.

Hard Spun three year old, ARALWOOD heads to Northam for his race day debut on Thursday for trainer Lindsey Smith.

He has had one trail back this time in and will be suited to a longer journey, but the Casuarina mentor has never hidden his liking for the horse.

With mainly WA based owners, ARALWOOD is being aimed at some lofty goals later this year and into 2014.

One of the nicest bred fillies purchased by Pacific Bloodstock, is the Manhattan Rain – Retract 2Y0 filly that is being trained by Mark Kavanagh.  Here she is this morning with Debbie and Jack Bilney, two of her proud owners.

Would you like to be a proud owner, contact us today for more info.  A very affordable filly from a half sister to champions ATLANTIC JEWEL and COMMANDING JEWEL.  Giddy up and get your share

Weather permitting, a couple of our PB stars return to racing next week.

Nadhima a winner of two races will resume under the care of Max Hinton at Sandown next Wednesday.  An impressive recent trial winner at Cranbourne, the Nadeem mare had an enforced layoff after surgery to remove a bone chip from her fetlock.

Untried on heavy going, her form before a spell was first class and it will be her first trip to town.

Aeronautical Joe is nominated next Monday at Warrnambool in a 0-64 over 1400.  Prepared by Kevin Chisholm, “Joey” will be looking for more ground.  Aeronautical Joe is a winner and placed from three starts and is by Flying Spur from the Belmont Guineas winner, Joey Jo Jo.

It is great to see these two back at the races and they will be joined shortly by some impressive three year olds, just back from spells.

Keep you eyes on the Blue and Gold.
