MICK PRICE

Mick Price has consistently been amongst the best trainers in Australia over many years and this young trainer has now established a reputation that displays his ability to maximize both racetrack performance and future residual in both colts and fillies.

His record in Group 1 races in recent times places him equal to many of the more established and larger training entities throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Mick trains a team of 70 from his Caulfield base in Melbourne, his calling card is his brutal honesty which from an owner’s perspective is vital for overall success.

PETER MOODY

Peter Moody has a reputation to utilize racetracks throughout  the World to obtain the best possible result for his owners.

He has campaigned as far north as Darwin, Royal Ascot and is a regular traveler to every major city track in Australia and New Zealand.

Equally as common is his intensity that will see a P Moody runner race and win at an obscure country venue.

A recent restructure of his team to reduce numbers has seen a meteoric rise to be the leading Metropolitan trainer in Melbourne and has a stable of unrivalled talent that is the envy of any trainer worldwide.

The intensity to plan a campaign to detail throughout his team has seen his stable supported by major owners throughout the world.

JOHN LEDGER

Wangaratta in Victoria based John Ledger operates one of the largest and most successful country stables currently in operation.

A regular success in the city is complemented by John and his son’s great horsemanship in the breaking, pre training and training of a team of 50.

A talented equestrian rider whose talent has been sought by many stables including Mick Price, John has the capacity with a relaxed training centre that adjoins the Wangaratta race track to prepare and replenish horses that may not be suited to a metropolitan training regime.

The Ledger family also conducts an excellent agistment facility that is a vital component with the consistent conduit between the racing and pre training operations

John has broken, pre trained and prepared horses for Pacific Bloodstock with great success.

MATTHEW FEISS

Matthew Feiss is a relative newcomer to thoroughbred racing, having a family involvement in harness racing as a trainer and driver.

His engagement by leading stables in the repatriation of racehorses has led to his investment in a magnificent facility to pre train and refresh tired, injured and difficult racehorses.

The water walking facility and relaxed country environment has rejuvenated many elite group performers in recent years to the point he rarely has an empty space.

Catering for both boxed and yard facilities the style of operation employed by Matthew is becoming more prevalent in the pressure cooker environment of modern racing.

MAX HINTON

Max Hinton a very successful trainer in his own right has become an integral part of the Pacific Bloodstock operation with an excellent agistment property at Baxter on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.

Each horse is housed in a relaxed and lush environment and the hands on and horseman like approach adopted by Max and wife Shelley sees horses return to work fully ready for the rigor of a demanding racing program.

The facility is a boutique operation and the extra care shown is very evident when a horse returns to work.

GRANGE THOROUGHBREDS

Grange Thoroughbreds is managed by Gary Mudgeway and Kylie Wood in the lush irrigation area of Victoria’s Goulburn Valley.

The stud is our principal facility used for the mares under our management, as well as providing a first class program for the preparation of any yearlings that Pacific Bloodstock and its clients may have prepared for yearling sales and education prior going to the breakers.

Gary and Kylie have had a long standing reputation as first class horse people and share the Pacific Bloodstock passion for excellence.

VETERINARY

All veterinary practices employed by our trainers and other suppliers come with first class credentials and are fully trained and equipped to ensure that any remedial care that is required by our horses is undertaken in a most professional manner.
